We are pleased to announce the release of the new USP-500 series – 500W U-bracket type power supply with power factor correction (PFC) function, designed for the growing demand in low profile middle wattage applications. Featuring advanced technology for high efficiency, USP-500 possesses up to 90% of efficiency, even for the 12V model. With the capability of supplying 400W using free air convection alone, it is perfectly suitable for fanless usage; by applying 23.5CFM of system forced air, an even higher output of 500W can be obtained.
With 6.2W/ in3 of high power density, USP-500 series is a compact 90~264V switcher that is ideal for 1U (1.75-inch) installations. Standard functions include remote ON/OFF control, remote sense, DC OK signal output, short circuit, overload, over-voltage, and over-temperature protections. Complying with worldwide safety and performance standards from UL, CSA, TUV, CB, and CE, the low profile USP-500 series is targeted at critical applications with limited space. The design and component selection is based on a rigid procedure and the reliability of these PSU’s is also significantly increased because of the no fan design.
Suitable application areas are general electronic application, factory automation, telecommunications, networking, test & measurement, audio system, massage machine, and large size LCD TV.
