PLC-30/60/100 Series 30/60/96W Class 2 LED Lighting Power Supplies

PLC-30/60/100 Series LED lighting power supplies are the PLN Series with the casing modified, changing to terminal block sytle input and output connections, providing more flexibility during installation. The changes also include the addition of two small holes, with rubber stoppers, allowing the output current and voltage to be adjusted without the need to remove the covers. The new PLC series is not IP rated, as the PLN Series are, so the choice is now available to utilise the mechanics of the PLN Series within your own IP rated system without the cost of an IP rated power supply.

Through the new easy access potential meters the output current level of the PLC Series can be adjusted between 75% and 100% (or 75~103%) of the rated value and the output voltage can be adjusted between 85% and 100% (or 95~110%) of rated value. PLC-30/60/100 are also limited power sources, complying with UL1310 class 2, so under any situation the output power will remain less than 100VA or 5A. This significantly reduces the potential hazardous condition exposure to any construction or maintenance staff of the LED Lighting System.

PLC-30/60/100 Series

Utilising leading edge ZCS/ZVS technology the efficiency of PLC family is as high as 89%, allowing for operation between -30C and +50C using only free air convection. With built-in active PFC function the PLC Series comply with the limitation of harmonic current of lighting equipment set out in EN61000-3-2 Class C, for 75% of output load or higher; so much so that when the output loading is 75% or higher the Power Factor value will be higher than 0.9. Other characteristics of the PLC Series include constant current and constant voltage mode output styles and short circuit, over laod, over voltage and over temperature protections.

PLC-30/60/100 also comply with global safety standards and are sertified to UL, cUL, TUV and CE, including EN61347-2-13, UL1310 Class 2 and UL879 (PLC-100) for LED lighting/sign board related installations. Typical applications for these class 2 power units are moving signs, backlighting, LED based decorative/architectual lighting, LED stage and theater lighting and LED electronic displays.
