New to our range of LED lighting power supplies are the PLC-Series, following the same case size as the PLN-45 these differ as they have terminal block style connections at both the input & output and adjustable output voltage and current levels via potential meters beneath rubber stoppers; these products are therefore of a non IP level design. The idea being to make this range of led lighting power supplies not only lower cost but also more flexible at both the installation and maintenance levels of any LED lighting system.
PLC-45 Series offer universal AC input and built in active PFC function, complying with the limitation of harmonic current of lighting equipment as per EN61000-3-2 Class C for 75% of output load or higher; also the power factor (PF) value will exceed 0.9 when the output loading is 75% or higher. This PFC technology ensures efficiencies up to 87.5% and increases the operating temperature range to -30C to +50C, with cooling by use of free air convection.
They are also limited power sources complying with UL 1310 class 2 that under any situation the output power will less than 100VA or 5A. This will significantly reduce the potential hazardous conditions exposed to technicians who execute the construction or maintenance of the LED lighting system.
PLC-45 Series
Other standard functions include user adjustable output voltage and constant current level and short circuit, over load, over voltage and over temperature protections. PLC-45 series also comply with global safety regulations as per TUV, UL, CUL and CE, including EN61347-1, EN61347-2-13 and UL1310 Class 2 for LED lighting / sign board related installations.
Typical applications for these new Class 2 power units include all kinds of indoor LED lighting, LED-based decorative lighting, LED indoor commercial lighting, LED stage and theatre lighting, and LED electronic displays…etc.
