New to the power supply range from Meanwell Electronics and available from Sunpower Technology LLP is the PLM-40 Series; a 40W Economical range of Constant Current LED Lighting Power Supplies. This series has an input range of 110-295VAC input with 350, 500, 700, 1050, 1400 & 1750mA output options; encased within a 94V-0 fire prevention level plastic case.
The plastic case of the PLM-40 Series has screwless push clamp terminal blocks, reducing the time & difficulty in making I/O wiring connections; the Class ll AC input design, with no Frame Ground, also effectively protects users from electric shock. PLM-40 Series is a cost effective power solution to reach high PF value due to the single stage PFC circuit design that allows for PF>0.9.
They also feature high efficiency up to 88%, free air convection temperatures of -30C to +45C, no load power consumption less than 0.5W and set up time less than 500ms, which comply with the ErP regulations required by European Union for lighting fixtures. Other standard functions include short circuit and over temperature protections.
The PLM-40 Series comply with global safety certifications as per ENEC EN61347-2-13, EN62384, UL8750, CB and CE. They also comply with harmonic current limitation of EN61000-3-2 Class C, to fulfill the requirements of general lighting.
Suitable indoor lighting applications include office lighting, commercial lighting, retail lighting and LED decorative lighting to name but a few.
