Thanks to the simplified single stage PFC technology the required high power factor of PFC>0.9 can be achieved economically. This Built-in active PFC function and EN61000-3-2 Class C (harmonic current) can be achieved for output loadings higher than 75%, and fulfill the general requirements for lighting fixtures. The efficiency of PLP-30 & PLP-60 Series are as high as 89% and enable the power supplies to operate at full load between -30°C ~ +60°C using only free air convection, the highest ambient temperatures can even reach 70°C, which is often requested of power supplies for lighting systems.

Through adjustment of the built-in potential meter the output current levels of the power supply can be fine tuned between 75~100% rated value to comply with the requirements of LED characteristics. Other standard features include short circuit, over load, and over voltage protections. Typical applications for these new open frame LED driver units include small scale moving signs, LED-based decorative lighting, and LED stage lighting equipment which has its own system casing.
