Description
The MEAN WELL BIC-5K-24 is a 5000W bidirectional AC-DC power supply designed for advanced battery charging, battery grading, energy storage and energy recovery applications. Delivering a 24VDC output at up to 208A, the unit supports both AC to DC charging and DC to AC energy feedback operation. Its energy recycle function allows recovered energy to be returned to the grid rather than dissipated as heat, helping improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. The fully digital design provides programmable voltage and current settings, active current sharing for parallel operation, CANBus communication and optional MODBus support. With support for up to four units in parallel and comprehensive protection functions, the BIC-5K-24 is suitable for battery formation systems, marine charging applications, kinetic energy recovery systems and distributed energy storage installations.
