*In automated production assembly, robots can utilise push-in termination.
DESIGNED FOR TIGHT PANELS AND HOT ENVIRONMENTS
All models feature a narrow width, just 48mm for the 240W unit and 96mm for the 960W. This saves DIN rail space in control cabinets and enables more compact layouts. In dense panels where ventilation is limited, this small footprint helps lower build costs and simplify enclosure design.
With up to 96% efficiency and minimal heat loss, XTR models reduce cooling needs and extend system lifespan. Less internal heat means fewer fans or heatsinks, supporting quieter and more reliable enclosures.
Full power output is available without derating up to 70°C, with operation possible down to -40°C, critical for outdoor enclosures, railways, and heat-intensive environments.
RESILIENT ELECTRICAL DESIGN WITH GLOBAL COMPATIBILITY
The wide three-phase input range (320–600VAC) ensures compatibility with power systems worldwide. All models support dual-phase operation, meaning the supply continues running even if one phase is lost. That helps avoid shutdowns in unstable or industrial power environments, especially where uptime is critical.
Low standby power (<3.1W) meets modern energy efficiency targets, and inrush current below 10A prevents nuisance tripping during system start-up.
SMART POWER HANDLING FOR REAL-WORLD LOADS
XTR models deliver up to 200% peak power for up to 5 seconds, allowing them to handle high momentary peak loads as motors, capacitors, and solenoids without being oversized. Most power supplies must be over-specified to handle these conditions—XTR eliminates that need, cutting costs and saving panel space while still maintaining performance headroom.
Built-in protection includes over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, short-circuit, and surge protection, reducing the risk of damage during abnormal conditions.
BUILT FOR FAST, FLEXIBLE INTEGRATION
BUILT FOR FAST, FLEXIBLE INTEGRATION
Push-in terminal blocks make wiring up to 50% faster, especially in volume assembly or field maintenance. The units fit standard DIN rails (TS-35/7.5 or 35/15), and LED indicators provide immediate operational feedback.
Features such as DC OK signals and remote ON/OFF controls make it easier to monitor system health and integrate with supervisory systems. For redundancy, ORing FET support allows parallel operation or N+1 setups (optional for 240W).
CERTIFIED FOR INDUSTRIAL USE
CERTIFIED FOR INDUSTRIAL USE
XTR Series power supplies are certified to a range of International Harmonised Safety standards, making them suitable for regulated environments across:
- Factory automation and control panels
- Transportation, rail, and signalling infrastructure
- Outdoor cabinets and high-heat industrial settings
- Mining, oil & gas, and vibration-heavy systems
A 5-year warranty gives further assurance for mission-critical applications with long service life expectations.
The MEAN WELL XTR Series is built for engineers who need compact, high-performance power supplies that can withstand tough industrial conditions. With global AC mains input supported, high efficiency, and practical features that reduce cabinet cost and installation time, the XTR Series is an ideal platform for modern automation, rail, and process control systems.
